Ken Popert Fellowship Program

The Ken Popert Media Fellowship program was developed by Pink Triangle Press to fund innovative journalism projects that bring new voices to Xtra. It provides an opportunity for both aspiring and seasoned journalists to learn about LGBTQ2S+ media and audience engagement. Ken Popert was Pink Triangle Press’ first Executive Director and guided the organization for more than 40 years. He is still a member of its Board of Directors

Gerald Hannon Scholarship

The Gerald Hannon Award supports two undergraduate students each year, who identify as Indigenous, trans or two-spirit, and who are experiencing financial need. Created by Pink Triangle Press in Gerald’s name, a longtime member of the Body Politic collective and a member of PTP’s board until 20I9, this award recognizes and honours the exceptional career and achievements of an incredible man.

PARITY PLEDGE

As part of our efforts to increase women and people of colour in leadership, we have signed the ParityPLEDGE. This is a public commitment to interview at least one qualified woman and at least one qualified person of colour for every future open leadership role.

It’s clear that people of colour and women face many types of barriers to advancement, and our goal is to remove those obstacles and create an equitable workplace for all.

We are committed to achieving better representation of all our diverse communities in our leadership roles at PTP.

We are committed to ensuring accessible services and communications to disabled individuals.
