ADVOCACY
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” (Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
There is no reason for discrimination. The truth of one’s sexual orientation or gender identity and its expression are no cause for inequity, hate, harassment or violence. And yet, as we too often see, intolerance and aggression against the LGBTQ2S+ community is present and normalized in many places.
Pink Triangle Press Advocacy is a loud and clear public voice championing LGBTQ2S+ rights and protection and the understanding and celebration of LGBTQ2S+ people.
Our advocacy work is focused on: Recognition and celebration; Equity and accountability; and Thought leadership.
An annual national event and content series featuring 2SLGBTQIA+ celebrities and activists (Champions) by recognizing community organizations (Changemakers) doing front line work with queer and trans communities in Canada.
As queer and trans rights remain at risk and these communities continue to be targeted by hateful narratives, the PTP Pink Awards counters these narratives by celebrating achievement and shining a spotlight on the people doing urgent work to fight back and protect 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

The PTP Pink Papers is a series of ongoing in-depth research projects taking a critical look at how our communities are being impacted in various areas of society.
In 2024 the inaugural PTP Pink Paper highlighted the state of 2SLGBTQIA+ representation on screens in the film, television, streaming and videogame industries. The 2026 Pink Paper on Health offers an unprecedented national overview of 2SLGBTQIA+ health and healthcare experiences in Canada, representing one of the most detailed studies to date. The evidence it presents shows how Canada’s healthcare system currently fails to meet the needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, particularly in rural and racialized contexts.
